A sneak peek at Oceania Cruises’ Marina refurbishment plans – the best value in luxury cruising
Oceania Cruises has exciting plans for Marina when the ship heads into dry dock this May. The ship will undergo renovations that will enhance its beauty and deliver more culinary delights than ever before
It’s always exciting when a ship goes into dry dock for refurbishment. This is especially true for Oceania Cruises’ upcoming overhaul of Marina, which is set to elevate the ship to another level of luxury.
Continually enhancing their commitment to delivering the best value in luxury cruising, the team at Oceania Cruises has shared details of their plans for the ship, and suites are selling fast for this highly anticipated foodie paradise.
Even better – while on the topic of unmatchable value in the luxury sphere – Oceania Cruises’ New Year Sale is still running, and features over 110 different itineraries at up to 40 per cent off. With sailings departing throughout 2024 and 2025, several Marina’s voyages are included in the deal.
A preview of perfection
Perhaps the most exciting upgrade planned for Marina’s upcoming revitalisation is the addition of three new speciality dining options.
Oceania Cruises is celebrated for food, and the line’s new Aquamar Kitchen, which launched on Vista a few months ago to great acclaim, will soon add wellness-inspired cuisine for guests sailing onboard Marina.
And that’s not the only new foodie favourite to look forward to. The poolside ice cream parlour is getting a complete upgrade, and we can look forward to a tempting (all inclusive) menu of milkshakes and smoothies, as well as creative flavours from artisan ice creamery, Humphry Slocombe.
In the evening, Waves Grill will transform into an al fresco trattoria featuring freshly made pizzas, succulently grilled Italian specialties, spicy dry-rubbed chicken wings, tantalising salads, rosemary focaccia with lush burrata, and indulgent desserts.
Aside from the food, Marina’s décor is being spruced up and refreshed to bring a bright and airy ambience to the well-loved ship. Clever design adaptations mean the ship will feel more spacious than ever – and with the same 1,250 capacity, the crew will continue to deliver their signature level of personalised service.
If you’re contemplating booking a Penthouse Suite for your next cruise, you can look forward to a completely refurbished suite onboard Marina, with a totally new design concept. The suite will feature new carpets and upholstery, and a swish new bathroom suite finished in Italian marble, ensuring you retire each evening in the height of contemporary elegance.
simply MORE showcases excellent value
True luxury isn’t about the price tag. It’s about the complete package – the whole experience. And Oceania Cruises understands that better than anyone.
With the line’s simply MORE pledge, everything that could enhance your cruise experience has already been considered - from airfare and airport transfers to shore excursions and speciality dining. You’ll even find your gratuities, drinks and Wi-Fi are already packaged in.
Where will Marina sail after dry dock?
If you’re looking for a summer getaway in fascinating ports, surrounded by the best food, Marina sets sail from Tromso, Norway, on August 5, 2024, for a 15-day ‘Glaciers & Greenland’ cruise. Explore the Arctic coast of Northern Europe as you venture east to Iceland and Greenland. Fly home from Reykjavik (and, of course, flights and transfers are included in the fare).
To fully experience Marina's upgrades and get to know her better, consider booking the 'Radiant Brazil & Argentina' voyage. This 21-day itinerary begins in Rio de Janeiro on January 26, 2025, and ends in Buenos Aires. It offers a perfect balance between relaxation on board the luxurious surroundings and exploring all the adventures that this South American journey has to offer.
Or, maybe you’re feeling like something special for the autumn. Sailing from Valletta on October 16 2024, Marina presents a 10-day ‘Mediterranean Portrait’ voyage, which draws together port highlights in the Aegean, Adriatic and Mediterranean Seas. With one day at sea to start the cruise, the remaining days introduce you to a new port every time you wake up on a new day.
