Terms and conditions

Entries must be submitted during the following entry period:

On-line Competition

There will be 1 winner of the online competition.

The competition will be open between 1 July 2024 at 00:01 and 31 August 2024 23:59, any entries outside of this period will be invalid.

The name and the hometown of the winner(s) will be announced once the competition has closed.

If the winner cannot be contacted within 5 day/s from the date of the initial attempt to contact them, then we will re-draw until we draw a winner that we are satisfied (in our sole discretion) fulfils all of the eligibility criteria and is in compliance with these Terms. The winner will be contacted in the week commencing 2 September 2024.

• Open to UK residents aged 18 years or over on date of entry.
• Our employees (and their family members) or employees of any company involved in the Competition, including any Prize Provider, are not permitted to enter.
• We reserve the right to disqualify any entrant or winner who does not comply with any of the eligibility criteria and/or is in breach of these Terms. We reserve the right to repeat the competition mechanic or any stage of it in order to draw a winner that fulfils all of the eligibility criteria and is in compliance with these Terms.
• Entrants must confirm that they are able to join the cruise that is scheduled to depart London Tilbury on 26 September 2024 and scheduled to return to London Tilbury.

Full description of prizes

• One online prize is available on the World of Cruising TV with Ambassador Cruise Line.
• Comprising of the below, for 2 people (aged 18 or over):
• One twin or double cabin, (Ocean view cabin)
• Comfortable accommodation in chosen cabin category
• Exceptional full board cuisine (breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea, dinner)
• A wide range of entertainment, including evening shows, plays, cabarets, live music.
• Theatre@Sea - Ambassador's exclusive on board selection of short plays, vignettes and more
• Daytime activities, quizzes, dance classes and deck games
• Range of fitness, dance and wellness classes
• Use of gym, swimming pool and hot tubs
• Spa access (Fees for certain treatments apply)
• Porterage of luggage between the port and cabin.
• All port taxes, fees and charges

Extras not included: Travel insurance, travel costs to/from the port of embarkation, port parking, onboard gratuities and service charges where a package has not been purchased (automatically billed to the onboard account), optional shore excursions, discretionary expenditure of a personal nature including hot and cold alcoholic & non-alcoholic drinks, gifts, shopping, laundry, wifi and communication, and any visa & health certificate charges that may apply. Ambassador Cruise Line reserves the right to cancel, change or amend any theme cruise activities/speakers/acts at short notice. In the event of your cruise being cancelled, you will be guaranteed a full refund. Conditions of prize:

• It is the responsibility of the winner to make sure they embark the ship (at each departure port) at the required time. Any winner who does not make the departure time will be required to make their own further travel arrangements at their own cost.
• Winners will be required to set up an account on board using a credit / debit card.
• All winners and their travelling companion must have a valid passport (with 6 months validity remaining after the cruise return date) to participate in the Prize sailing.
• All winners will be required to attend a safety briefing once on board.
• The Prize cannot be sold, exchanged, bartered, raffled, auctioned or redeemed for cash or money’s worth.
• The Winner will have 5 days to confirm acceptance of the Prize and must provide passenger details for themselves and their nominated guest including passport details. Failure to provide details within that time may result in forfeiture of the Prize.
• We recommend that before travel, you check UK Government advice at www.gov.uk/coronavirus and Public Health England at www.gov.uk/government/organisations/public-health-england and the national health authorities of any countries you will visit, for the latest advice and information about travel, your health and safety, and more.

• Pregnant women are highly recommended to seek medical advice prior to travel at any stage of their pregnancy. Women who are up to 23 weeks pregnant at the end of the cruise are required to produce a medical certificate of fitness to travel. The Carrier cannot for safety reasons carry pregnant Passengers of 28 weeks or more by the end of the cruise. The Carrier reserves the right to request a medical certificate at any stage of pregnancy and to refuse passage if the Carrier and/or the Master are not satisfied that any pregnant passenger will be safe during the passage.
• Ambassador Cruise Line reserves the right to cancel, suspend and/or modify the Prize, or any part of it if any fraud, technical failures, unlawful act or any other factor beyond Ambassador Cruise Line reasonable control impairs the integrity or proper functioning of the Prize, such factors to be determined by Ambassador Cruise Line at its sole discretion.
• Changes to the Prize can be made by Ambassador Cruise Line at any time without prior notice in order to comply with any legal obligations, operational reasons, or at the Captain’s discretion.
• Ambassador Cruise Line would like to feature Winners in publicity relating to this Prize award and will request consent from Winners to do so. If you would prefer not to be featured, please do tell us at the time of being notified you are a Winner. Such consent is voluntary and is not a condition of entry. • Ambassador Cruise Line shall at all times process a Winner’s personal details in accordance with the provisions of (i) the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679, (ii) the UK Data Protection Act 2018 and (iii) any applicable laws implementing privacy law. • In so far as is permitted by law, Ambassador Cruise Line, its agents or distributors will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate the Winner or accept any liability for any loss or damage, occurring as a result of taking up the Prize except where it is caused by the gross negligence of Ambassador Cruise Line, or that of its employees, servants or agents. The Winner’s statutory rights are not affected.
• Employees, servants and agents of Ambassador Cruise Line and any business within the group of international companies to which Ambassador Cruise Line is a member including all subsidiaries, their affiliates or anyone else professionally associated with this Promotion, as well as their relatives or members of their family or household are expressly excluded from entering.
• This competition shall be subject to English law and the exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts shall prevail.

• You must be able to take the Prize on the dates above as stated, or on those dates otherwise offered by the Prize Provider, which may be subject to change and are at all times subject to availability. If you are unable to accept the Prize of the dates offered, we reserve the right to withdraw it and award the Prize to another entrant.

• You will be responsible for ensuring that you (and any of your guests) have a valid, in-date passport for travelling and are also responsible for securing and paying for any and all visas required for travel. You will also be responsible for sourcing and paying for any vaccinations or other medical provisions required for travel, for both you and your guests.

• Unless expressly stated, the cost of any spending money, food, drink or any other sustenance is not included. Any additions or upgrades to flights, accommodation or otherwise are not included in the Prize and will be the sole responsibility of a prize winner, or any of their guests, to secure and pay for.

• Unless expressly stated the cost of travel to and from the relevant airports are not included in the Prize, no airport transfers are included.

• Any other excursions or activities which may be available on the holiday, but are not expressly mentioned in these Terms, are not provided for or included within the prize. The cost of any such excursions or activities are the sole responsibility of the prize winner and any guests. We accept no liability for any such activities undertaken by a prize winner or their guests whilst taking up the Prize.

• It is your responsibility to ensure that you (and any of your guests) are fit, well and able to travel. We reserve the right to withdraw the prize from a prize winner and re-award the prize to another entrant where health reasons or concerns prevent a prize winner (or any of their guests) from taking up the Prize.

All passengers must follow the vessel’s instructions and procedures relating to all matters including health, safety, hygiene and security. If in our opinion or in the opinion of any other person in authority, your behaviour or that of any member of your party is causing or is likely to cause distress, danger or annoyance to any of our other guests or any third party or damage to property, or to cause a delay or diversion to transportation, we reserve the right to terminate your booked arrangements with us immediately. In the event of such termination our liability to you and/or your party will cease and you and/or your party will be required to leave your cruise or other service immediately. We will have no further obligations to you and/or your party. No refunds for lost services will be made and we will not pay any expenses or costs incurred as a result of termination. You and/or your party may also be required to pay for loss and/or damage caused by your actions and we will hold you and each member of your party jointly and individually liable for any damage or losses caused by you or any member of your party. Full payment for any such damage or losses must be paid directly to the applicable supplier prior to departure from the service in question. If you fail to make payment, you will be responsible for meeting any claims (including legal costs) subsequently made against us as a result of your actions together with all costs we incur in pursuing any claim against you. We cannot be held responsible for the actions or behaviour of other guests or individuals who have no connection with your booking arrangements or with us.
